Coasteerers at Ballintoy, July 2016
Northern Ireland is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. And equally one of the wildest. My hubby’s family comes from up there, so I have the privilege of being able to visit every now and again. Considering its location, it gets a lot of rough weather coming in from the North Atlantic Ocean — wind, rain, storms, the lot. And while some may not think that makes for an ideal place to live, Tom’s uncle, Kenneth Wood, absolutely loves it.
So much that he took up photographing the coastline whenever a picturesque moment presented itself — which is pretty much every day! Sunsets, sunrises, storms, he catches them all. And he’s getting flippin’ good at it — so good in fact, BBC NI Weather have used his pictures on numerous occasions. I’ve been in awe of his photography for a fair while now and felt it was time to share them with you. He has so many beautiful shots, but I decided to focus on some of his best sunset pics. Hope you enjoy!
