As a woman who has recently started cycling to work more regularly, I understand the dilemma of wanting to stay safe and visible to drivers, but not wanting to look like a luminous Christmas bauble cycling down the road. So I was really pleased to find out that someone is doing something about this situation. Her name is Ros Clitheroe — and she needs your help.
There are a lot of products out there, but none that are aimed at women and are designed for both safety and looking good. Ros has designed two pieces of kit to help you stay visible — Carney arm warmers and cycling shorts. And no, you don’t need batteries to operate the visibility, it won’t wear off in the wash and yes, it’s 100% breathable. And not only does it make you highly visible at night, but during the day and in the shade too. Ticks all the boxes, doesn’t it?
The only catch is this is a product yet to be launched and it needs your support. I love that Ros is trying to get more technical female gear on the market and think this is such a fantastic project, I just had to share it with you.
If this is something you’d love to see on the shelves, why not pop over to her page on Kickstarter and donate something to help make this a reality?
